I have an Illustrator file called "Love Letter to England" where I hash out several ideas for a, well, love letter/tribute to a land that I love deeply. I started working on several one-off travel posters for London and thought that while certain landmarks of course say "London," there are many things that comprise such an amazing city. So, I started working on a collage poster (similar to the America 250 poster) and here it is. A lot of the old, a bit of the new. This one has it all: Big Ben. Tower Bridge. The Gherkin. The K6 red telephone box. A Routemaster double-decker. A Bobby on the beat. The Crown Jewels. Sherlock. 10 Downing Street. The London Eye. Marble Arch. Nelson's Column. St Paul's from Fleet Street. The Tube. A black taxi. Buckingham Palace guard. The Union Jack. Oxford Street. A map of the city itself.

Historical note, if you've ever wondered why the police there are called a "bobby," it's due to Robert Peel introducing the Metropolitan police in the 1800s. Robert = Bob and thus, Bobbies. In Northern Ireland, police are sometimes called "Peelers," which also takes from Mr. Peel. Fun History!
